Educational Objectives
At its simplest, biotechnology is technology based on biology that harnesses cellular and biomolecular processes to develop technologies and products that help in improving our lives and health of our planet. This program emphasizes the development of skills, knowledge, and understanding relevant to the biotechnology industry and provides a knowledge of a wider range of modern biotechnology; commercialization of products and marketing, including business planning and project management and an understanding of the ways in which research and development are undertaken.
