INTEGRATED PROGRAM IN AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING & AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING
Overview of the Integrated Program
The Integrated Program combines a B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering with Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) — a dual qualification designed for students who want to stand out in the aviation industry by gaining both manufacturing and maintenance expertise. This program equips students with technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional versatility, allowing them to pursue careers in aircraft design, production, inspection, and maintenance sectors.
Completing this integrated course saves both time and cost compared to pursuing Aeronautical Engineering and AME separately, and it enhances employability in multiple aviation domains.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission into the Integrated Program of Aeronautical Engineering and AME, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
Academic Qualifications
- Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or equivalent.
- Students with Computer Science in place of Chemistry along with Physics and Mathematics are also eligible.
- 3-year Engineering Diploma in relevant streams (Mechanical, Production & Industrial, Electronics & Communication, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Telecommunication, Aeronautical)
Course Structure
Duration
Typically 4 years
Examinations
Students will appear for two separate examinations — one for the B.Tech degree and one for the DGCA AME License.
Parallel Learning
The courses run parallelly, and at the end of four years, students are awarded both qualifications.
Why Choose the Integrated Program?
Time-Efficient
Save time by completing both courses together rather than separately.
Cost-Effective
Lower overall cost compared to enrolling in two separate full programs.
Skill Versatility
Gain both designing and maintenance skills required across aviation industries.
Stronger Career Edge
Integrated candidates have broader job eligibility compared to students with only one of the qualifications.
Career Opportunities
Completing this integrated course prepares graduates for a wide range of aviation and aerospace roles, including:
This hybrid qualification increases placement probability — graduates can apply for jobs in both manufacturing and maintenance sectors across the aviation industry.
Tools & Skill Development
Alongside academic theory, students receive training on designing and analysis software to enhance technical capabilities and readiness for industry roles. Labs and practical sessions are carefully designed to support both manufacturing and maintenance career paths.
Examinations & Licenses
Students will appear for two separate examinations:
University examination for B.Tech Degree
DGCA AME License examination
Successful completion awards both the B.Tech (Aeronautical Engineering) and the DGCA-recognized AME License, making graduates eligible for a broader set of aviation jobs.
